Monthly Support Group
A Note From Our Founder
We warmly welcome you to our meetings and hope you find some comfort and support here.
We are all here because we have experienced the terrible tragedy of the death of a baby. Although our individual experiences are unique and the circumstances different from each other, we hope the meetings will afford you an opportunity to share your thoughts with others who understand your feelings. We are here to support each other through the grieving process, it is an emotional journey and we expect consideration, sensitivity and respect towards each other.
These meetings are unstructured, each one different from the last, according to the needs of those attending. We strive to be inclusive, paying close attention to all participants. We hope that everyone who wishes to speak will feel encouraged to do so whilst also being aware of those who prefer not to share their thoughts but rather listen to others.
It is a great privilege for us to oversee these meetings and we welcome any suggestions as to how they could be changed and improved. Please do let us know if you have any concerns and we will endeavour to help.
Our monthly meetings provide bereaved parents with a chance to talk about their experiences in a safe, supportive environment. We usually meet on the first Monday of each month in Catford, from 7:30pm until 9:30pm. The next support group meeting dates can always be found on the home page.
We welcome those who are newly bereaved as well as those who may consider attending for the first time after some years have passed. Many of our attendees are regulars whilst others come along when it feels appropriate to them. Attendees will often have a range of different bereavement experiences. If you would like further details, or are considering attending for the first time, please do get in touch, either through email or via the contact form.
We meet at Hartley Hall, Culverley Road, Catford SE6 2LD:
If you are planning to attend our Support Group, we would like to encourage you to read our group agreement to help ensure a safe environment for all.
