South East London Sands

This year’s Curtain Up Christmas Market will be taking place on Sunday 3rd December 2017 at St Mary Abbots Centre, Vicarage Gate, Kensington, London W8 4HN.

There will be over 45 stalls offering antiques, collectables, art, bric-a-brac, books, jewellery, glass, handbags, vintage clothing, cakes and more.

The Christmas Market to be opened at 11.30 am by surprise celebrity! And a raffle will be drawn at 15:00 by BBC Radio London’s Joanne Good.

Entrance to the event begins at 11:00 – £2

This year, proceeds from the event will be directed to Sands, so please support this as generously as possible. Any volunteers who would like to support on the day are welcome to get in touch.

The Wave Of Light is an annual event, and bereaved families around the world are asked to light a candle at 7pm and leave it burning for one hour. By doing this a wave of light passes around the world in memory of all the babies, gone too soon.

Each year, during Baby Loss Awareness Month, Kent Sands host a Wave Of Light walk at Bluewater Lake. This year it will take place on Sunday 15th October, meeting at 6:45pm.
