Finding The Words

Baby death is still a taboo subject, but together we can break the wall of silence.

June is Sands Awareness Month – please join us in #FindingTheWords to support anyone who has experienced #babyloss and share the new @SandsUK film at www.sands.org.uk/findingthewords.

Curtain Up Christmas Market – 7 years of selling cakes for Sands!

This December Julia is once again creating delectable refreshments for sale at the Curtain Up Christmas Market. Now in its 7th year, Curtain Up was launched by a small group of actors to raise funds for a good cause (by charging an entrance fee) and provide an event for everyone to enjoy and showcase their crafts, collectables and bric-a-brac. The very first Curtain Up in 2010 donated the entrance fees to Sands; this year the entrance fees will go to Max’s Foundation, but as always the proceeds from Julia’s refreshments will benefit SEL Sands.

This year the market features over 45 stalls offering collectables, vintage clothing, bric-a-brac, crafts, glass, jewelry, cakes, preserves and more. Legendary actress Fenella Fielding is opening the market, and a surprise celebrity will draw the raffle.

Butterfly Release 2016

Our annual butterfly release event will take place on Sunday, 12th June, once again in Greenwich Park..

From 1pm, please join us in the Rose Garden to meet with others and perhaps bring a picnic. Children are welcome, too, and there will be a release of butterflies to remember our babies. A small donation towards the event would help to offset the cost of the butterflies.
